Proxies for brand protection
Sellers of counterfeits know who is looking for them. A listing that vanishes for a visitor from a corporate network is often still there for a shopper at home.
Which proxy is best for brand protection?
For brand protection, use residential proxies in the countries where your brand is sold. Counterfeit listings and copycat sites often hide from visitors they recognise as companies, so checks should come from ordinary home addresses in each market.
Look like a local shopper
A residential address in the target country sees what buyers there see: the listings, the prices and the sellers behind them.
A new address for each check
Rotate between checks so a site cannot learn which visitor keeps coming back to the same pages.
Check mobile too
Some offers are shown only to phones. A mobile proxy shows the page as it appears on a carrier network.
Keep a record
Save each page with the date, the address it was fetched from and the country. That is the evidence a marketplace or a lawyer will ask for.
