How to set up a proxy in Android emulators

BlueStacks, LDPlayer, NoxPlayer and MEmu run Android on a Windows PC. There are two places to put a proxy: inside Android, or on Windows around the emulator.

Which proxy to use

Mobile proxies make an emulated phone look like it is on a carrier network. Residential proxies are the lower-cost choice.

What to enter

A PiratProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Mobile; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostmobile.piratproxies.com
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME-mobile-true-package-mobile
Passwordfrom your plan page

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

Steps

  1. Inside the emulator, open Android's Wi-Fi settings, edit the connected network and set the proxy to manual with the host mobile.piratproxies.com and port 8080. This covers the emulator's browser, which asks for the login.
  2. To cover every app, leave Android alone and use Proxifier on Windows instead.
  3. In Proxifier, add the proxy with your username and password, then make a rule that sends the emulator's programs through it.
  4. Start the emulator and open an IP-check page in its browser.

Menu names can differ a little between versions of Android emulators. The four values to enter are always the same.

Rotating or sticky

A device or browser that sends everything through the proxy is acting as one visitor, so a sticky session is usually what you want: the IP address stays the same while you work. Remember that gigabyte plans count all traffic, so video and large downloads use a plan up quickly.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-mobile-true-package-mobile-session-a1b2c3d4-time-short

If it does not work

  • An emulator runs as more than one Windows program: the window you see and a separate engine in the background. Add both to the Proxifier rule, or only part of the traffic is covered. Proxifier's log shows the names as they connect.
  • Android's Wi-Fi proxy has no field for a login, so apps that cannot ask for one fail. That is why the Proxifier route is the reliable one.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.

Questions

Which PiratProxies proxy should I use with Android emulators?

Mobile proxies make an emulated phone look like it is on a carrier network. Residential proxies are the lower-cost choice.

Android emulators is a product of its own makers. PiratProxies is not affiliated with it; the name is used here only to say what this guide is about. Use it within the rules of the sites you work with and our acceptable use policy.
