Why CapMonster Cloud needs a proxy
Many sites tie a captcha token to the IP address that asked for it. If the service solves from its own address and you submit from yours, the token can be refused. Passing your proxy to the service makes both come from one address.
Which proxy to use
A residential proxy with a sticky session, the same one your own client uses.
What to enter
A PiratProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Residential; the username and password are on your plan page.
| Host | resi.piratproxies.com |
|---|---|
| HTTP port | 8080 |
| SOCKS5 port | 1080 |
| Username | USERNAME |
| Password | from your plan page |
The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.
Steps
- Create a task of a type that accepts a proxy.
- Fill in
proxyType,proxyAddress,proxyPort,proxyLoginandproxyPassword. - Use the same sticky username in the program that submits the token.
Example
The proxy part of a task
curl -s https://api.capmonster.cloud/createTask -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{
"clientKey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"task": {
"type": "RecaptchaV2Task",
"websiteURL": "https://example.com/login",
"websiteKey": "SITE_KEY",
"proxyType": "http",
"proxyAddress": "resi.piratproxies.com",
"proxyPort": 8080,
"proxyLogin": "USERNAME-country-us-time-600-session-a1b2c3d4",
"proxyPassword": "PASSWORD"
}
}'Replace USERNAME and PASSWORD with the login from your plan page. The example asks an IP-check address, so the output is the address your request left from.
Rotating or sticky
Use a sticky session, and give CapMonster Cloud exactly the same username you use for your own requests. The session ID in the username is what keeps both on one IP address. With a rotating username the token is solved from one address and submitted from another, and sites that check this reject it.
A sticky username looks like this:
USERNAME-country-us-time-600-session-a1b2c3d4If it does not work
- If you use ZennoPoster with CapMonster Cloud, set the project's proxy and the task's proxy to the same line. See ZennoPoster.
- A
407error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short. - If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
