What is an exit IP address?

The exit IP is the address your request leaves the proxy network from. It is the address the website sees and logs as its visitor.

There are two addresses in a proxy setup. The gateway is the host you connect to. The exit is the address at the far end, where your request leaves for the website. With a rotating proxy the gateway stays the same and the exit changes.

To see your exit address, fetch a page that prints the visitor's IP through the proxy. Every PiratProxies plan page has a test button that does this from our side and shows the address and its country.
