Using your own proxies with Anti-Captcha

Why Anti-Captcha needs a proxy

Many sites tie a captcha token to the IP address that asked for it. If the service solves from its own address and you submit from yours, the token can be refused. Passing your proxy to the service makes both come from one address.

What to enter

A PiratProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Residential; the username and password are on your plan page.

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

Steps

1. Pick the task type without Proxyless in its name.
2. Add proxyType, proxyAddress, proxyPort, proxyLogin and proxyPassword to the task.
3. Also send the userAgent your own client uses, so the browser details match as well as the IP address.
4. Submit the token from your client through the same proxy.

Replace USERNAME and PASSWORD with the login from your plan page. The example asks an IP-check address, so the output is the address your request left from.

Rotating or sticky

Use a sticky session, and give Anti-Captcha exactly the same username you use for your own requests. The session ID in the username is what keeps both on one IP address. With a rotating username the token is solved from one address and submitted from another, and sites that check this reject it.

A sticky username looks like this:

If it does not work

• proxyAddress is the host on its own, without http:// and without the port.
• The session in the username has a time limit. Solve and submit within it, or the IP address will have changed in between.
• A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
• If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
