PiratProxies

Glossary

What is the difference between dedicated and shared proxies?

A dedicated proxy is an IP address only you use. A shared proxy, or a pool, is used by many customers, at different moments or at once.

A dedicated address is rented per address, usually by the month. Nobody else's behaviour can spoil it, and it never changes, which suits a single long-lived account. It also means one address is all you have.

Rotating pools are shared by nature: the same home or mobile address serves different customers at different times. In exchange you get a very large number of addresses and pay only for traffic. PiratProxies sells pooled, rotating plans; a sticky session holds one address for a while when you need steadiness.
