How to set up a proxy in MarketerBrowser

MarketerBrowser is an antidetect browser made for social media marketers who manage many accounts.

Which proxy to use

Mobile proxies fit social accounts best, with residential proxies as the lower-cost choice.

What to enter

A PiratProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Mobile; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostmobile.piratproxies.com
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME-mobile-true-package-mobile
Passwordfrom your plan page

As one line:

mobile.piratproxies.com:8080:USERNAME-mobile-true-package-mobile:PASSWORD

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

Steps

  1. Create a profile.
  2. Go to the proxy settings and choose a custom proxy. Set the type to HTTP (port 8080) or SOCKS5 (port 1080).
  3. Enter the host mobile.piratproxies.com, the port, your username and your password, each in its own field.
  4. Press the proxy check. It should come back with an IP address in the country you chose in the username.
  5. Save the profile and start it. Open an IP-check page inside the profile to confirm the address once more.

Menu names can differ a little between versions of MarketerBrowser. The four values to enter are always the same.

Rotating or sticky

Give each MarketerBrowser profile a sticky session of its own, so the profile comes back from the same IP address each time it is opened. One profile, one session ID: a session ID shared by two profiles gives them the same address, which links them. Rotating on every request suits scraping, not an account that is meant to look like one person.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-mobile-true-package-mobile-session-a1b2c3d4-time-short

If it does not work

  • On mobile plans the session length is short or long instead of a number of seconds. Use long for accounts you stay logged in to.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
